A University that Champions Peace and Diversity

The internship with the UCSI Group-SDG Secretariat Office in partnership with The Blue Ribbon global for Peace and Diversity Education and Sustainable Development Goals was an enhancing and empowering experience.

I learned Peace and Diversity Education (PDE) in a university not just known to be the fastest rising private university in Asia but as well a university where diversity is welcomed.  Though the people in the campus are very varied, everyone is valued and treated fairly.  I was enhanced by the UCSI Group’s positive culture and values of Universalism, Compassion, Sustainability, and Integrity.

It was a wonderful experience to take part in organizing UN’s International Day of Peace.  From the event, I saw how people of diverse backgrounds can be connected to converse on intercultural and sustainable peacebuilding within and across regional boundaries.

My favorite part of the internship was the privilege to be mentored by the secretariat who is expert in the field of Sustainable Development and at the same time  is passionate in growing love and living peace.  I had the opportunity to co-facilitate the Peace Ambassadors Workshop in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia and Batam, Indonesia.  Through those exposures, I am empowered to advocate peace, diversity and inclusion in my own country.

Indeed, UCSI University is a university that Champions Peace and Diversity.
